Rihanna’s returning to the stage–in the Middle East.The pop tart will perform live during a show in the United Arab Emirates May 28. The public performance will be Rihanna’s first since she was assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown during a dispute last February.
While a venue for the concert has not yet been decided, due to on-going battles with promoters in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, organizers in the Middle East say they are excited to welcome Rihanna.
“It will be the best concert the region has ever seen and we will stop at nothing,” says Yassin Matbouly, managing director. “She didn’t used to be famous, or is going to be famous — she is famous, right now,” he emphasised. “She is incredible and she wants to come to the Middle East for the people of the whole region, not just the UAE.”
